I am Sarah-Jane Schorlemer, the dedicated artisan behind the intricately crafted creations of Fable and Foe. My artistic journey has been a lifelong endeavour, encompassing various forms such as dance, photography, and traditional art.
In addition to my passion for the arts, I recently achieved a significant milestone by earning my Bachelor's degree in nursing from Ottawa University. Presently, I find fulfillment as an operating room nurse at CHEO. Amid the demands of my profession, I discovered a sanctuary for my soul in the meditative art of knitting and macrame.
What began as a personal retreat has organically blossomed into a thriving side business. My commitment to customization sets my knits apart. Acknowledging the unique style inherent in each individual, I aspire to infuse this diversity into every creation.
I hope that Fable and Foe becomes a source of inspiration, transforming the art of knitting and macrame into a meditative and creative outlet for all. Through my work, I aim to encourage an appreciation for the unhurried beauty of handmade creations.
Mindful of the impact we make, I am dedicated to responsible practices. From employing recycled packaging to choosing ethical and sustainable materials, every decision reflects my commitment to environmental responsibility and ethical sourcing.
